April Cope, Owner

Originally from Greenville, SC I attended the University of Georgia where I earned a BS degree in Microbiology. I moved to Seneca in 1995 after acquiring a BS degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical University of SC. I have worked in all areas of therapy, but the 8 years I worked for Interim Healthcare were my favorite. I have had a very rewarding career helping others. After giving birth to our first son, Hunter, I decided to stay at home and help Kevin in real estate behind the scenes. It has been a rewarding opportunity learning about real estate and growing our business. Together we have a great partnership and compliment each other very well.

I have lived in the Seneca/Clemson area for over 30 years. I graduated from Seneca High School in 1990. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Clemson University in 1994.  After college, I pursued a 13 year career in boat sales at a local marine dealership, serving many customers on the shores of Lake Keowee, Hartwell and Lake Jocassee.  I have acquired vast knowledge about service, sales, and business that I have taken and incorporated it into my own real estate business. In 2002 I started Between The Lakes Property Management with a partner for the sole purpose of acquiring rental properties as well as to buy, remodel, and resell homes. In August 2003, I joined the real estate world and haven't looked back. 

This year my wife, April and I decided to start a property management company to manage our properties as well as others. As the broker-in-charge of 1st Choice Realty, Seneca I am seeing an increasing number of owners looking for a good property manager to ride out the ecomony. It just made sense.

Combining Property Management along with real estates sales affords us the opportunity to serve our clients in multiple facets. We are excited and ready to take on this new adventure.
